Pismo Beach Farmers Market is Fun in the Sun

The Pismo Beach Farmers Market offers food, produce and entertainment for the whole family. Presented by the Pismo Beach Chamber of Commerce and held at the pier on Wednesdays from 2-5pm.

Going year-round, the this farmers market is unique in that it combines a community and farmer oriented event with the recreational and scenic experience that is Pismo Beach. This is the destination for local produce, goods and culture.

The climate in central California allows for a great variety of vegetables and fruits to be grown locally, making the farmers markets in the area some of the best in world. This abundance lends itself to the local artisans who use the bounty to make the specialty local products, from wine to food to soap, that help make California what it is. Did I forget to mention seafood?

For a time Pismo Beach was lucky enough to enjoy two farmers markets. 55 Fresh, a market focusing on local produce and goods, ran for almost a year on tuesday mornings but they had to shut down last may due to a parking issue according to a post on their Facebook page. It also says they are working to resolve the situation, so perhaps someday the town will again host two farmers markets.

Pismo Beach Farmers Market provides a pleasant atmosphere with a vibrant community, local food vendors, and high quality local products. Not to mention it is hands down the best place to see the sunset on a Wednesday night.
